North Western region provides opportunities in the school sport program for multi-class athletes to participate in the individual sports of:
- track and field
- swimming
- cross country.
Due to the small number of multi-class athletes in the region, athletes participate in regional trials in their age group with able-bodied athletes.
Results are then compared to multi-class athletes state qualifying standards. Athletes wishing to participate in competitive school sport events organised by North Western and Queensland School Sport must first obtain official classification from the relevant government body.
